Sanctuary's Z1 [900SUPER4]

Kawasaki_Z101.jpg

The Z1 is considered by many air-cooled Z enthusiasts to be the latest and greatest sports bike on the market. That is why the Z1 continues to be admired even after 50 years have passed since its debut. Of course, since it has been 50 years since it first appeared on the market, it is inferior in many ways from a modern perspective, and in the first place, each part of the bike has deteriorated over time, making it difficult to say that it functions adequately in terms of "riding, cornering, and braking" as a bike.

The concept of "establishing an identity as a sports bike" is also the concept behind the production of RCM. It is not only the abundant use of high-end parts but also the total balance of their functions that is the focus of our efforts. Although RCM is a custom machine, it also features a high degree of freedom of choice to realize the ideals of each owner. When ordering parts, communication with the owner is made to ensure that the parts will be installed while checking with the owner, allowing the owner to create a look that is exactly to their liking.

Headlight and meter covers are realized with transfer sheets instead of carbon.

The graphics are designed and painted by YF Design based on the owner's original idea. The quality of the paint is very high, and although it is not flashy, it has a strong presence. The tank cap is also changed to a plain type.

The rearsets are made by Nitro Racing, which is popular for its simple design. Bearings are built into the moving parts for better operability. The master cup is placed in the front so that it can be hidden in the side cover.

Intake & Exhaust

The exhaust is hand-bent titanium by Nitro Racing and is paired with a Strait Titanium V-III silencer. It has a sharp response and powerful acceleration.

Engine

The engine has been fully overhauled and bored up to 1,156㏄. Various tuning options, such as twin plugs and larger intake and exhaust ports, are also available.

The transmission is a 6-speed cross transmission incorporating the EVO system developed by Sanctuary Koga for higher rigidity and strength. Reliability has improved.

Chassis

Kawasaki_Z106.jpg

Brembo RCS is used for the brake and clutch master. This is a part that is highly used by custom stores, and because of this, high reliability and a good touch feel can be obtained.

The front forks are Ohlins upright type.

The frame is disassembled, and the original frame reinforcement ST-II is performed by the company. Extensive frame reinforcement is added, including gusset reinforcement around the pivots and neck. After the reinforcement, the frame was laser measured and powder coated to give it a new look and feel. After the reinforcement, it is laser-measured and powder-coated to give it the same texture as a new bike.

The swingarm is a Sculpture RCM exclusive product developed with the optimum length for the air-cooled Z, as it is too long to be used with the stock swingarm. Racing stand hooks and stabilizers are also added.

The Ohlins rear shocks, based on the Black Line, have original anodizing on the pre-load adjuster and other parts. The sticker is also an original Sanctuary creation.

The front brakes are Brembo CNC radial calipers with the Sunstar RCM concept for increased braking power and control, complementing the lightweight OZ Racing Gass RS-A wheels' high mobility performance.
